US Plans Will Lead To A Pakistani Civil War

A pro-US fifth column inside Pakistan is now talking about southern Punjab as the hub of Al-Qaeda just as it earlier pointed to Balochistan in the same manner.  For those who had failed to connect the dots to the US grand design of targeting Pakistan a year ago, it should be easier today. There are covert US operatives now spread across the length and breadth of Pakistan; drone attacks have increased in frequency since Obama took office; aid packages are demanding unacceptable conditions; the military is being pushed on all fronts, with India increasing its deployments along the western border with Pakistan and aiding low intensity conflict through Afghanistan.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—The US design to destabilize Pakistan is becoming clearer by the day, even for the most blinkered Pakistani.

As the US continues to be stalemated in Afghanistan, it has sought to move the centre of gravity of the "war on terror" to Pakistan.  Initially it was assumed that this shift would be restricted to FATA, but now it is evident that the US is seeking to engulf the whole of Pakistan in an asymmetric conflict, which will eventually pit the people against the state, especially the military.

Reports of a US plan to target Balochistan, including its capital city Quetta are, in all likelihood, correct - more so because the US has not issued even a half-hearted denial on this count.

Pakistani officials are admitting that the US has sought to extend drone attacks to Balochistan, especially Quetta.  Given the present government's proclivity to accede to all US demands, it should not come as a surprise to soon see these drone attacks taking place.

However, for Pakistan such a development will be suicidal, given the prevailing instability in Balochistan and the continuing lack of trust between the Pakistani Baloch people and the Pakistani federation.  Worse still, Quetta is an urban centre with a concentration of population.  It is also a major military station with the Command and Staff College as well as other formations present in the heart of the city.

How far is our military prepared to accommodate the US desire to undermine the country's sovereignty?

After all, the drones will push the separatists closer to their goal, while the US will think it can move towards its concept of Greater Balochistan through the breakup of Pakistan and Iran.

Unfortunately for the US, the Iranian leadership shows no signs of falling prey to such US designs, unlike their Pakistani counterparts.

Again, if today drones are allowed to target an expanded area of the country, what will stop the US from expanding into southern Punjab next?  With receding red lines, the whole country could be up for targeting by the US in its growing despair over the inevitable failure in Afghanistan.

There are many fifth columnists in our midst now talking of southern Punjab as the hub of Al-Qaeda just as earlier they pointed to Balochistan in the same manner. For those who had failed to connect the dots to the US grand design of targeting Pakistan a year ago, it should be easier today. There are covert US operatives now spread across the length and breadth of Pakistan; drone attacks have increased in frequency since Obama took office; aid packages are demanding unacceptable conditionalities; the military is being pushed on all fronts, with India increasing its deployments along the western border with Pakistan and aiding low intensity conflict through Afghanistan, and the US demanding we withdraw more troops from the eastern border to FATA and begin a premature conventional operation there; and the US-dominated IMF and World Bank pushing through threatening price hikes and taking charge of policy making in Balochistan and NWFP.

I am Dr. Syed Hamid Hussain Naqvi Subzwari (Ph.D.) UK; a “Renowned Technocrat” I have a very clear opinion upon Ahmed's report is that he is a loyal Pakistani who loves his homeland from the core of heart and he sees and predicts beyond the thinking & vision of country’s and world’s politicians. He is son of Soil and today, after read his article, I must say that he is Journalistic Ambassador of Pakistan, he deserves it. He always raises his voice for the alarming situation of our country which is most probably coming ahead. Surely after going through his report based on serious and true facts; the proceedings in Pakistan reminds us of the CIA operations in Guatemala when the American used their new revolutionary techniques to overthrow the democratically elected government in 1954. At that time the propensity and their technique were new and to a degree proved successful and were applied throughout Central and South America. And now in Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan, the methods appear to be different but no more sophisticated - secret action, division and subversion of various factions. What is now different in attacking the holy parts of our beloved Pakistan, its only new is our country has no leader; that’s why we are suffering under the first remote controlled war, from a military trained on the computer in war games, using advanced technology to deliver drones to wherever they are deemed necessary to the cause. We do not think that they are targeting any “Taliban”. The Taliban are probably the least of it. The devil’s most desire is to get charge of the “Nuclear” system of our homeland, they are worried about our power and that’s why in my opinion and its clear that they are unable to digest it and in reality the nuclear weapons in Islamic hands has blistered their peace of mind as they are scared of Islamic activists those are surely not Taliban; and therefore, they need for strategic control of energy routes which is surely more important for them. The ease with which the U.S. is able to manipulate the elites in Pakistan combined with the nature of remote warfare is perhaps the way of the future for the U.S. military. Pakistan is perhaps, more than anything else, a testing ground for the latest U.S. military techniques to control and sabotage other countries that do no fall into line with their ideology; it’s because there is no reasonable leadership available that can protect Pakistan from these devils. We see in the light of your article “US – Pakistan Atomic war ahead and might be Mayan’s prediction of Friday Dec 21, 2012 comes true. If this war takes place then no doubt the world will be finished. This is my humble request to all reasonable human beings of the world despite of their countries, where they live, what ever their culture is and what ever their religions are, please come forward and kindly intervene in it and stop America for creating reasons of destroying our planet. We love our Planet. I must add and request US President Mr. Hussein to “Stop America boosting world war III” and save the world.

The events in Pakistan remind me of the CIA operations in Guatemala when they used their new subversive techniques to overthrow the democratically elected government in 1954 (learned in part from the overthrow of the Mossadegh government in Iran with British assistance). At that time the methods were new and to a degree proved successful and were applied throughout Central and South America. In Pakistan, the techniques appear to be different but no more sophisticated - covert action, division and subversion of various factions. What is now different is that Pakistan is suffering under the first remote controlled war, from a military trained on the computer in war games, using advanced technology to deliver drones to wherever they are deemed necessary to the cause. The Taliban are probably the least of it. The nuclear weapons in Islamic hands and the need for strategic control of energy routes would surely be more important. Pakistan is perhaps, more than anything else, a testing ground for the latest U.S. military techniques to control and subvert other countries that do no fall into line with their ideology.
